1. Files You Upload

When you upload an image or PDF, it's sent to our OCR service just long enough to extract the text. The file is deleted right after — no copies, no logs.

If you email us, we get your name, email, and message. Used only to reply.

2. How We Use Your Information

We only use what we collect for:

• Running the service: Process your files and return the text.
• Contact form: Reply to your messages.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

ImageToText.is uses cookies and browser local storage sparingly. We use only the following:

• Language preference: Remembers your selected language so we don't ask again on each visit. (localStorage)
• OCR processing token: A short-lived token used to manage your current job. Valid for up to 30 days, refreshed on each use.
• Google Adsense cookies: We use Google Adsense to display ads. Google uses cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate ImageToText.is:

• Cloud object storage: Your uploaded files are temporarily stored in encrypted cloud object storage to facilitate OCR processing. The file is deleted immediately after the OCR result is returned.
• OCR processing service: A third-party service handles the text recognition. Only your file is sent — deleted right after the job is done.
• Google Adsense: We use Google Adsense to display advertisements on this site. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. • CDN (Content Delivery Network): Delivers our static files (CSS, JS, images) quickly worldwide.
• Analytics service: Provides anonymized, aggregate usage statistics. We use privacy-focused analytics that do not track individual users across sites.

All third-party providers are vetted for privacy compliance.

5. Data Security

• HTTPS: All uploads are encrypted in transit.
• Files are deleted immediately after the OCR result is returned.

6. Your Data

Because ImageToText.is does not store your uploaded files, does not keep copies, and does not log any processed content, there is no personal data about your OCR usage for us to hold or retain. The only personal data we may have is what you choose to send us through the contact form, which we use solely to reply to your message.

7. Children's Privacy

ImageToText.is is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete the information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make changes, we will:

• Post a notice on the homepage for major changes.
